LOVE YOUR MIND, BODY, SPIRIT & HEART FEST

August 20, 2025, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm at the Albuquerque Convention Center, 401 2nd St NW, Albuquerque, NM.

AASTEC Good Health and Wellness in Indian Country Program, a program of the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Board, is offering the Love Your Mind, Body, Spirit, & Heart Fest.

The purpose of this healthy heart festival is to provide an opportunity for community health representatives & other tribal health workers to enhance their skills to prevent heart disease & stroke. Maintaining balance of our mind, body, spirit, and heart is important for preventing heart disease & stroke. Knowledge and skill stations designed to help tribal health workers in their role working with community members to stay healthy and well, and to prevent heart disease and stroke will be provided and include: Blood pressure, CPR, 5 A’s for Commercial Tobacco Cessation, 988 hotline and mental wellness, group fitness sessions, and much more!

This event is being offered to Tribes, Pueblos, Bands, Nations, and urban Indian organizations in the Indian Health Service Albuquerque Area. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for fitness activities. Lunch will be provided. Lodging assistance available for those traveling more than 50 miles one way. Come learn and network with others who are contributing to healthy Native communities!

NEW MEXICO CONFERENCE ON AGING: ENGAGE AS YOU AGE

Center! This year’s event will bring together older adults, caregivers, and professionals from across the state to connect, learn, and celebrate aging well in New Mexico.

NATIVE AMERICAN BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE

Various dates and locations from 10:00am-12:00pm.

UNM Rainforest Innovations is collaborating with the City of Santa Fe Economic Development Department to bring this roundtable event to Santa Fe for Native American owned-businesses and entrepreneurs.

These monthly gatherings create space for Native American entrepreneurs, artists, and business owners to connect, share resources, and build pathways to success. Mark your calendar—this roundtable will meet monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, same time at different locations!

DFA is now accepting Session Proposals for the 2025 NM Infrastructure Finance Conference.

DFA invites dynamic presenters, facilitators, and field experts to submit proposals for breakout sessions, panels, workshops, training sessions, and mobile field trips. This is your opportunity to share insights, showcase innovation, and help build capacity across New Mexico’s infrastructure ecosystem.

Conference themes include:

  • Technical assistance & workforce development
  • Infrastructure planning & project management
  • Capital stack building & funding navigation
  • Rural, tribal & frontier community support
  • Broadband, housing, transportation, and water
  • Clean energy, resilience, and economic development

  • 45- or 90-minute presentations/panels
